Una vez superada la emergencia, la “isapre paga a la clínica y luego el afiliado le tiene que pagar directamente a la isapre. Nunca sale gratis”.
Por otro lado, explica que para este tipo de casos existe una “Cobertura Adicional para Enfermedades Catastróficas (CAEC), todos los afiliados a isapres lo tienen”, la que evitar que los afiliados paguen grandes sumas de dinero.
“El CAEC dice que la cuenta va a estar cubierta y el paciente sólo va a tener que pagar un deducible, que va entre las 60 UF ($1.722.991) y un máximo de 126 UF (3.619.542). No importa el tiempo que esté en la clínica. Es lo único que pagará la persona, independiente de todos los gastos derivados.
El monto final a pagar por el paciente, dependerá de los ingresos que perciba mensualmente. “Depende de los ingresos del paciente, de la cotización que tenga pactada con la isapre. Los que ganan más, tiene que pagar más”, aclara la autoridad.
La cobertura se puede activar vía telefónica, correo electrónico o por medio de un familiar, depende de cada prestador de salud, por lo que Fernández llamó a estar informado y buscar este tipo de información en el sitio de cada isapre.
Por último, indicó que “dos isapres hoy están estableciendo un deducible cero, para que la persona no pague nada por COVID-19”, Cruz Blanca y Colmena.
